Question: Back-scratch Scent In Apartment?

I moved into an apartment. This apartment smells of back-scratch. I was told the previous tenant cooked with information technology regularly. I would like to know how I can become rid of this olfactory property.
The landlord has repainted the flat, cleaned the carpets but the smell is still here. Any suggestions would be profoundly appreciated.

When I have bad smells from cooking that linger (like onion & garlic or deer meat or liver) I have a sauce pan, put a quart of water in information technology, add a cup of apple tree cider vinegae, a couple of tablespoon full of cinnamon and 6 whole cloves of 1/2 teaspoon full of basis cloves. Put on stove and simmer for several hours, picket that pan does not go dry out. The vinegar & cinnamon are natural deodorants.

I had rented my condo and the tenants cooked with curry. Afterward 13 months the cabinets were saturated with cooking grease and I could not rent the unit of measurement equally the smell would drive prospective tenants away. You don't have to pay all that money to clean your flat. What you need to do is find the place in the kitchen where the grease from the frying is collected. I have just recently moved into a 2nd and tertiary floor apartment. My neighbors below cook with curry every 24-hour interval (twice a twenty-four hour period) and the back-scratch odour is so powerful in my apartment, information technology makes my roommate and I sick. The aroma is then strong in my sleeping room that my eyes burn from the odor. Does anyone have whatsoever suggestions as to how to rid our apartment of the smell?

Howdy! Try one of the plug in air purifiers. Febreeze makes 1 that removes odors. It's small and inexpensive and doesn't "encompass" up anything, information technology removes it from the air.
Works wonders on my dog bed smell.

Simmer a minor pot 50/50 mix of vinegar & h2o. If yous could get them to practise that every bit they cook you would never smell the odor. Works for fish and other high odor foods likewise.

If you run one of these on a low speed when yous are abode & on the highest setting when you are abroad, the smell will eventually disappear (& stay abroad) from your home, your clothes, your draperies & furnishings.
You lot are probably also smelling like curry when yous or your partner goes into the workplace. This in no laughing affair, as I once lived with someone who made a lot of fried nutrient & when I was at work in one case I overheard a colleague of mine saying "have you noticed how she smells like stale fried nutrient" (VERY embarrassing!) Well, I'one thousand a vegetarian & have been for nigh 30 years, then I knew it was from my roommate's fried nutrient... I had made the error of leaving my sweater & piece of work-coat hanging on the back of a kitchen chair, then the smells absorbed into the fabrics... Ever since then, I've realized that we olfactory property like our houses, so I'll sometimes spray myself with Febreeze right earlier I leave my house to run across with a client or go to work.

I don't know if all stoves are required to accept a vent fan, merely every place I've always rented or endemic has had 1. I advise asking the neighbors if they are using the vent fan. If not, ask them to please do and so. If they are already using that fan, peradventure the landlord could install a more effective i. If there is no fan, notice out if the landlord would exist willing to install one. Good luck. I absolutely dear the aroma and gustation of back-scratch, but I would not like smelling it 24-hour interval afterward mean solar day or smelling it when I don't go to partake of the food. It's a stiff olfactory property that sticks with 1's wearing apparel. If your family is smelling similar curry when you go to piece of work or any of the places you go, you might want to mention to the landlord that information technology is affecting your work situation (if information technology is).

I run a bed and breakfast and the rooms have full kitchens, bathrooms, and full housekeeping suites. I recently agreed to taking guests who had sold their house and are waiting to accept possession of their new dwelling just down the road. They take a huge domestic dog which I was hesitant to agree to, but it was a steady booking for v weeks.
It was a horrible mistake equally the dog hair is everywhere and the house is now flea infested and I am allergic to fleas. I know how to handle that, lots of money spent on the cats and nevertheless can't get that problem under control (until the dog is gone in some other week).

A lot of people over look the fact that grease is stick and curry mixes into the grease.
naturally odors will cling to the grease.
then hither is my method that worked after moving into an flat that was 200% covered in back-scratch olfactory property.
go downwards to your local smoking store... buy a pack of cigars and a few packs of cigarettes, you dont have to fume them just light them upwards and let them burn down down in a ash tray, too pick up a few pack of incense and permit those burn regularly in your apartment.
doing this over a week as ofttimes as you can and as much equally yous can will coat the grease in another layer of smell merely this fourth dimension it will be cigarettes cigars and incense.
you will see after about two weeks the aroma volition be gone.
it is much better to catch a faint smoke odor compared to the middle burning back-scratch odors which can crusade health issues.

My problem is I am highly sensitive to odors and while I am not allergic to smoking my body reacted badly to curry and makes me wheeze like hell, is your method 100 % foolproof?
As in I will not detect an hint of curry whatsoever?
