Over 30 years agone, as a teenager I inherited a custom fabricated pair of cowboy boots from my begetter..I've worn them continuously on endless adventures and misadventures and loved them dearly.. Enthused by words such equally, cleaned, nourished and restored I agreed to most every option and paid over $g..(!!)While dirty and scuffed the boots carried a patena that told a story. Evans practise quality work - they can more often than not be relied upon to give practiced service. Withal, their prices are exorbitant. $35 to accept my stilettos re-healed? Almost other shoe repair shops charge about $20. I recently asked for a quote to have my pocketbook handles replaced - they quoted $300 (about every bit much equally the price of the whole bag) for leather handles. I went elsewhere and was quoted $fifty for leather handles. The salespeople are very friendly and nice so I dislike having to requite them this less than glowing review.

They've washed some astonishing re-sole work too. I don't know what my feet are made of, but I've managed to wear the heel and front soles downwardly completely. I paid $45 to get protective soles put on a pair of Luciano Padovan heels I purchased from Myer. Quality of the work was very good, just I am little worried that I overpaid for the job. Seemed a uncomplicated enough procedure to stick some rubber on the soles! Admittedly, I haven't had much experience with these kind of services then may have to shop around next time.

Evans is one of the few remaining places in Melbourne that does specialty work in leather repairs. I have used their services several times now and high quality workmanship is what you should expect. They have the expertise to reach a wide range of jobs. Unfortunately their customer service tin can exist a petty hit and miss. I brought a jacket in to Evans after a store recommended them to set up some tears in the leather. The sometime man I talked to said he would make patches nether the jackets lining so they would exist less noticeable. I was pleased with the end issue, patches were seamless and the simply remnants of the tears were a few scars on the leather.Toll was reasonable but non cheap, definitely worth getting a quote though.

I brought my leather handbag to Evans because the inner lining had worn out and the colour was fading to a lighter brown. I was told by a lady at the counter that the workers would make a new lining and the color would exist "touched up". I was unsure if the price would be worth it just after consulting with a friend who had used Evans services before I decided to go ahead. Later several days I received a text saying my handbag was ready for collection and went into the shop for pick up. They had completely replaced the lining and changed the colour dorsum to a darker brown. I was very pleased that the colour alter had not ruined the texture or experience of the leather. It was a flake pricey merely still highly recommended.

These guys are premium. They are expensive but very high quality. I was given very proficient advice which was verified by an industry veteran. They are true cobblers and hand work these goods. I had my swiss leather boots re-soled, sewed and polished and work was done to an extremely high standard. They looked better than they had new. The chore only took three working days and staff kept me updated throughout, they could tell how much the boots meant to me! Would 100% go back with whatsoever leather work I need doing and recommended it to family and friends.

Evans were great. They managed to revive i of my old pairs of R.Grand. Williams boots that I was certain had passed their used by date. Not sure what blazon of procedure they used to the care for the leather but their almost unrecognisable. Completely brought back the colour and shine and then they look like new over again.
